Location: New Orleans, Louisiana Meet Leo, Leo is about 2 years old, kennel and house trained. His personality shows through all his facial expressions! He is young boy that has some energy to let out, since his last home he was all alone with nothing to do or anyone to play with. He loves to run and play, but he’s happy to chill out too. He’s great with other dogs as his foster mom has 5 and she says he gets along with all of them! He’s very smart and he would easily and willingly love to learn new things. At his old home Leo was left alone in a very dirty environment and would escape to his current fosters house multiple times a day. Thankfully the owner surrendered him as they realized he deserved a much better life. So that is how he found his way to Cane Haven Rescue. Oh, and one more thing about Leo-he loves kids! We do require adoption fees that are based on the age & health status of the adoptable dog. The adoption fee covers every single dog in CHR with vaccinations, heartworm test, deworming, microchip, spay/neuter & medications. All CHR adoptable dogs are current on their monthly heartworm and flea medication. CHR takes pride that we do not place dogs on a first serve, first come basis. We strategically place animals in their forever home to ensure that they have found their forever.
