My heart is filled with hope and a touch of sadness as TLC K9 Rescue prepares to welcome Leonardo, our newest rescue, all the way from Mexico City to San Diego by the end of July.
This sweet little soul, a 2 year old, 10lb Papillion Chihuahua Mix, was found wandering the streets of Mexico City, starving and frail.
Our friend, with her compassionate heart, couldn't turn her back or a blind eye on this innocent soul in need and took him in.
Leonardo is a gentle, loving boy, happy to be around people and other dogs of all sizes.
He deserves a second chance at life, filled with love and peace.
He needs a loving home, a place where he can finally feel safe and cherished.
The journey from Mexico City to San Diego will be long, but we believe the real journey begins when Leonardo finds his forever family.
