My Story

Levi is a goofy 6 month old puppy looking for his forever home. He is a mix breed and we are guessing at his possible mix considering his looks and personality. He loves going for long walks, lounging in the sun on the deck and playing chase with his litter-mate Leon and foster siblings in the back yard. Levi would be a great addition to your family, either as a single or second dog!  Levi is a smart boy - crate and potty trained, knows sit and is working on stay and down. He will let you know when he’s ready for bed by either curling up in your lap to cuddle or tucking himself into his crate.  Levi and his brother Leon are being fostered together and would make a great pair if you are interested in adopting litter-mates! They would also do well adopted separately. If you are interested in Levi, the first step is to go to our website and fill out an application. www.PlacingPawsRescue.org BEFORE CONSIDERING A PUPPY FOR ADOPTION: Please keep in mind that puppies need attention during the day. They need frequent potty breaks, playtime, socialization and often a mid day meal. Please consider your daytime schedule before applying for a puppy. SPAY/NEUTER POLICY: Our adoption fee covers the puppies spay or neuter at our vet in Libertyville. If the puppy is adopted prior to the spay or neuter being done you will be required to bring the puppy back to our vet within 30 days for the surgery. ADOPTION FEE: $425.00 The adoption fee includes all age appropriate vaccinations including rabies, HW test if age appropriate, de-worming, microchip, fecal, spay or neuter, Heartworm and flea and tick preventative. ADOPTION PROCESS: PLEASE READ CAREFULLY The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application online at www.placingpawsrescue.org. Once we review the applications, those applicants that are thought to be a good match will be contacted as quickly as possibly. We ask that you please be patient with us as we are all volunteers. Then a telephone interview will take place, references checked and a home visit will be conducted. We will then arrange for you to meet the dog. We require that all family members, including current dogs meet the dog prior to adoption. We put all of the known information in the animals description. If the animal is listed on the website, we are still accepting applications for that animal. We only remove the animal when the final adoption paperwork is signed. The best way to contact us is by email at [email protected]. It is very difficult for the limited numbers of volunteers to return all calls. Thank you.
