Levi

We recently rescued this gorgeous 7 month old boy from a local Amish puppy mill. He was born in April 2004 and is supposedly a purebred Aust Cattle Dog but he has a longer, soft wavy coat, so we wonder if he isnt half Australian Shepherd? Sweet Levi has so much to learn about life because of his "deprived childhood," but he is catching on quickly. He is very submissive to everyone, both dogs and humans, very gentle. Levi is really very sweet -- and also energetic: he does love to play w/ stuffed toys (a brand new experience for him) and to eat treats! He is still a little shy so we are looking for the right patient, gentle person to guide him as he discovers happiness. He is a special treasure just waiting to be discovered. Gets along great w/ all other dogs. We have not had him around cats but would expect him to probably be fine (or actually scared of them!) Because he has been deprived of experiencing much of the world in his early life, Levi still has some catching up to do (learning about stairs, leashes, getting in the car, socialisation, etc.) Sudden movements and loud noises still frighten him, so a home w/out the noise and chaos of small children would be best....but he is eagerly waiting for his special person to come take him home.
