Update: Liberty was heartworm positive and has now completed her heartworm treatment. She can now be spayed and have one mammary tumor removed. She’s up to 60lbs now. Beautiful girl. Update: If you remember Liberty’s story from 2 weeks ago now, she is looking so much healthier thanks to a wonderful foster mom Leslie. Look at the weight she’s put on already and learning what life is like living inside a home instead of roaming the streets starving. Liberty is available for adoption. This will be a process but we take care of her medical needs ongoing until cleared. She’s heartworm positive and is on the fast kill protocol for that. She’s sweet, she’s a good strong walker, she loves other dogs and all humans. She loves being outside exploring of course so a secure fenced yard is a must have. She’s quiet. She’s sweet and loving. She’s middle aged and now about 45lbs up from 35 when found. She we believe is a treeing walker hound. Stunning girl and so deserving of a great home. Liberty is special. She’ll need lots of care and lots of medical intervention. She’s a treeing walker hound weighing only 33lbs and should be at least 45 to 50 probably. She’s heartworm positive and has mammary tumors, is currently in heat, might need a dental and has wounds all over her in addition to being emaciated. We will need a dedicated potentially long term foster to get her through her heartworm treatment or until she gets adopted. She’s quiet and very sweet. She loves going for walks and I’m sure that’s how she got loose is that nose just wants to track. The second picture is Liberty’s freedom ride.
