Licorice is a happy, energetic man. During his personality assessment he was easy to leash and walked well on leash. He responded to sit and down and took treats well. He did well for all body handling and was just happy to receive attention! He is young and energetic and will need exercise in his new home to be his best doggy self. Licorice threw a giant tantrum at having to have his vetting (microchip and heartworm test done). He was not aggressive, but was terrified during the vetting process and needed to be muzzled. He was dog tested with two female dogs and the three dogs all seemed happy to be around each other and eager to play. Licorice is current on shots, licensed, and microchipped. All dogs over 6 months have been heartworm tested, and all dogs are treated monthly for fleas/ticks and are on Heartworm prevention (NexGard PLUS). All pets are spayed/neutered prior to a finalized adoption. All our dogs receive a behavior assessment before being placed for adoption to determine initial behaviors towards people and other dogs in the shelter environment.
