Lily von Barbara"

Lily von Barbara is a gorgeous 1-2 year old German Shepherd. This beautiful girl can be shy at first but is very sweet and loving with her people, always nudging your hands so you pet her. The more time you spend with her, the faster she blossoms. As she can be timid and cautious with some strangers, especially men, she is looking for an adult experienced home. Lily is house-trained, knows Sit, Stay, Heel and Down, and takes treats gently. She also loves balls and will swim to retrieve them (marco polo, anyone?). We've also been told that Lily is good in the yard, is crate-trained and very sweet when attached to a person. She stays close to her handler during walks at the rescue and does well on leash, presenting a medium energy level. She meets new canines well along the way, but doesn't seem to care much. In playgroups she goes in a bit unsure but meets dogs well and, with a proper introduction, is generally okay around them but prefers to be with people so we think she would be fine as your one and only. Given that Lily is loyal, smart, athletic and active, you may have just found the ideal jogging/running buddy! Her forever home may not have kitties in residence, however.
