Linda is a young chihuahua who came into our program from a family that was overwhelmed with the number of dogs in their home. She is a very sweet little pup, but her first reaction to new humans is caution, and can be a little vocal for a short time! She takes time to warm up and trust. Once she does, she falls completely in love and is a devoted little companion. She would probably prefer to be in an adult home, or a home with older children with some dog experience.
There were many dogs in her initial home and they seem to be a source of great comfort for her. She is very small - around 8 - 10 pounds so we are looking to place her into a home with an existing small friendly dog or dogs.
In her current foster home, with structure and reinforcement, she's doing well with house-training but will need continued support for a bit longer. She is learning how to walk on a leash, which she never did in her original home.
She's a special little pup and we are excited for her to be welcomed by a new patient person/family who can focus on her and support her as she begins to enjoy the big beautiful world out there
