My Story

Logan is almost five years old and weighs 60 lbs. Logan's sad story has brought him back to Eleventh Hour Rescue in search of a new home. Originally from South Carolina and adopted in 2020, he spent his last few years in a home. Tragically, both of his owners passed away and he finds himself homeless again. But Logan is far from sad - because he was surrendered with his best friend, Tia! A 9 year old cat who he lived with, so we know he is good with cats! In fact, Tia and Logan cried when they were reunited! Tia (see last photo) and Logan are both available for adoption and are being fostered together. While they can be adopted together as a pair if you would like a cat and dog duo, they do not have to be adopted together if you are interested in just one or the other. Logan is a happy, wiggly boy who likes all the adults he meets, although can be a little shy of new people, especially men, until he warms up to them. Logan gets so excited to see his people that he begins bouncing so his foster family has nicknamed him "Tigger." Logan is a good boy who wants to be your velcro dog! He takes treats gently, enjoys car rides, and is house trained; he will even tell you when he needs to go out. Logan needs continued training on his leash skills. This boy is very energetic; enjoying his time outdoors and playing with plush toys that have crinkly stuffing! He needs a home that can keep him active and stimulated. He enjoys a good game of tug and to chase squeaky tennis balls. He knows the "sit," "down," and "stay" commands but can benefit from continued training. Logan does well with routine and is well behaved when left alone in a gated off room. Logan would benefit from a slow feeder bowl as he tends to inhale food. Logan would do best in a low traffic home either with no children or at least teen aged kids as children tend to make him very agitated. Logan would do best as an only dog in the home or would need slow, proper introductions with another dog as he has shown he is dog selective. Logan can't wait to find his forever home!!
