Your life could be a lot more fun if you took home the god of mischief, Loki! Loki is around a year old and came to Animal Friends at the end of March 2024. We hate that this spunky pup is growing up in the shelter and would love to get him into a loving foster or forever home! Loki is a fun-loving pup who is trying very hard to be good but just has so much energy to burn and so much love to give! We know he could thrive in an active home that helps him burn his energy. Loki has previously lived with other dogs and done well. He also participates in the shelter's doggie playgroups and has a lot of fun! His energy may be too much for some dogs and he would do best with dogs who are compatible with his rough and rowdy play style. Another one of Loki's favorite activities is taking a dip or bobbing for tennis balls in the playyard's baby pool! This athletic pup is great at fetch and will drop the ball so you can throw it for him. Can he have an invite to your pool party? We've been learning more about Loki thanks to wonderful people taking him out on doggie dates! During some of these days out and overnights Loki has spent time around children from babies to teenagers and done well with all of them! Loki has really enjoyed meeting and playing with new dog friends, though he is still working on his manners and sometimes needs to be reminded not to hump his new dog pals. Loki is a great adventure buddy and rides well in the car and loves to go for a hike and then head back home to recharge with a nap and cuddles! Thanks to a generous donor $25 of Loki's adoption fee has already been sponsored, meaning that Loki's adoption fee is now $70 including his dog license and all vetting! Loki is current on shots, licensed and microchipped. All dogs over 6 months have been heartworm tested, and all dogs are treated monthly for fleas/ticks and are on Heartworm prevention (NexGard PLUS). All pets are spayed/neutered prior to a finalized adoption. All our dogs receive a behavior assessment before being placed for adoption to determine initial behaviors towards people and other dogs in the shelter environment.
