My Story

Meet Lottie, a 13-pound female Yorkie with a heart full of curiosity and friendliness. Lottie loves to take treats right from a human's hand, showcasing her brave and trusting personality. Lottie's calm demeanor makes her a perfect companion for all dogs, as she gets along wonderfully with everyone she meets. She's currently working on leash training, and her love for treats is sure to make the process a breeze. Whether she's the only dog in the home or has a furry friend by her side, Lottie will thrive. Her friendly nature and brave spirit are truly heartwarming, and there's no way you can walk away without your heart being melted. Are you ready to welcome this delightful and affectionate Yorkie into your life? Lottie is eager to find her forever home and share her endless love and charm with you. - - - - - - Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have experienced minimal socialization. As a result, there is often an adjustment period when learning about life as a family pet. We typically do not adopt to homes with young children. Homes with older children will be considered on an individual basis. Common skills such as house training and leash walking will often take extra time. Patience, understanding and a gentle hand are a must. The great news is, many of these dogs come around with patience and being a part of their rehabilitation is an extremely rewarding experience.
