Other:Spayed Female, Vaccinations current, Microchip. No cats; dogs of equal or larger size Lotus is a blossoming flower ready for her new life Foster Home Feedback 6/23/2024 Building Volunteer Feedback: Lotus absolutely breaks my heart staying at the shelter. She has had such a bumpy life, and while it has been smoothing out in rescue, I really hope her turbulent journey finds that smooth forever landing spot soon. I personally have taken sweet Lotus for a couple quick overnight kennel breaks and she has been an absolute angel. During our shelter walks, she walks very well. She is seemingly potty trained. She is such a happy go lucky girl when she gets out of her shelter kennel. As a shelter volunteer, I don't really like picking favorite shelter dogs, but Ms. Lotus would top the list if I absolutely had to rank them (the others can be a close second place). 06/18/2024 Temporary Care Feedback: I've taken Lotus on two kennel breaks this week and she's been amazing for both. She's so gentle and sweet. We can't get enough! 5/8/2024 Foster Feedback: This sweet girl exudes boundless energy and enthusiasm, making her a joy to be around. Her high energy levels are both endearing and adorable, showing her zest for life. She thrives in the company of other medium to large-sized dogs with a neutral to submissive temperament. These friends provide her with the perfect balance of playfulness and stability, allowing her to channel her energy positively. Lotus has a very sociable nature and loves her large dog friends. With the right canine companionship, her vibrant spirit will continue to shine, making her an excellent addition to any loving home. She is mostly housebroken, but will have an occasional accident when left in her kennel for a long period or time or overstimulated at home. 3/7/2024 Foster Feedback: Lotus has had an amazing recovery from her jaw injury and has been living it up! She loves to play with her dog friends and has even learned how to play with the cat appropriately! She would LOVE a high energy, playful, large dog friend to frolic and romp with. She loves every person and animal that she meets. She is a smart girl and picks up on routines and commands well. She is treat motivated and wants to do everything she can to earn that delicious reward! She would love to find a family to take her to obedience classes or even maybe an agility class. She is doing really great with potty training, but sometimes still has an accident when kenneled for a full day. But is getting better every time! She currently has graduated to sleeping on a dog bed on the floor in her foster family's bedroom and loves that. She is a wonderful, happy girl that just wants to cuddle and play! 01/24/2024 Foster Feedback: Lotus has had a long recovery, when she came into the rescue she was suffering from multiple jaw fractures caused by being attacked by another dog. She had to spend 2 months in a cone and muzzle. She is finally recovered and is ready to find her forever family! Lotus is now your typical young puppy. She is active and playful and smart. She loves to run and the husky in her loved to play in the snow. She is working on potty training, but sometimes forgets to tell you she has to go, so taking her out frequently helps prevent accidents, but she is getting better about going to the door. Lotus sleeps in a crate well, and she is still working on holding her bladder all night. Lotus is very playful and loves to play with dogs that have her energy level. Having a friend to play with helps burn off all her extra energy! Like any puppy Lotus would benefit from attending some obedience classes, as she still has a lot to learn! To view additional dogs available for adoption, please see our website: www.4luvofdog.org
