Introducing Louise, your new gentle best friend! Hello there! My name is Louise, and I'm a 2 year old Anatolian Shepherd mix on a journey to health and happiness. Currently, I'm undergoing treatment for heartworm, but that hasn't dampened my sweet spirit one bit. I'm described as a calm and gentle soul with a heart of gold. Here's a little about me: I came from another shelter in Texas and was found to be positive for heartworm disease. I received my treatment and am currently recovering in a foster home. I need to be kept calm with no exercise through the end of July while I finish my treatment. After my treatment is finished I will live a normal life with no further follow-up needed! I am spayed, microchipped and up to date on my vaccines. I absolutely adore spending time with people and other dogs alike. Whether it's lounging in the sun or going for leisurely walks, I'm happiest when I'm in good company. My easy-going nature makes me a joy to have around – I'm like a steady, comforting presence in any home. I may be on the bigger size, but my heart matches my size! I love gentle pets and scratches behind the ears, and I'm always eager to show my appreciation with gentle nudges and soft gazes. Despite my current treatment, I'm resilient and determined to get back to full health, with the support of a loving family. I've been told I have a knack for making friends with other dogs, so if you have a furry friend already, I'm sure we'll get along famously.
