Lucky

For the first time in probably 6 years, Lucky is living a pain-free life. Her face has changed, her energy has shifted. She lost a leg but she gained a comfortable future. Lucky was most likely hit by a car early in her 7 or so years of life. The fractures to her hips, femur and pelvis were never repaired until one of our supporters found her wandering in a busy intersection and brought her to us. We tried to fix this very painful old injury but we could not because it had been messed up for so many years, so we had to amputate her left rear leg. But the story is so much happier for her. Lucky can run with the other dogs now, she plays, she jumps around and runs up the ramp to the bed. She is so happy. Lucky is around 7 pounds of sweet, forgiving love. She is housebroken and super chill, she’s a perfect dog. Lucky gets along well with all dogs and humans. She brings joy to every room she enters.
