My Story

Um, hello. My name is Lucy. I am looking for my very own fur-ever home. My brothers and I had a difficult life before we were trapped by animal control and brought to the shelter so I'm maybe hoping for something better. Everything here is new and scary to me and I don't have the confidence I need to try facing my fears. My brother Charlie Brown says he's starting to like the humans but they still really intimidate me. I think I need someone who can help me brave this new world of yours, who can help guide me to learning that things aren't so scary. A quiet and calm environment really helps me but the shelter is a loud place with all the other dogs barking all the time so it's hard for me here. Maybe you can take me home and we can get to know each other better? I'm a female anatolian mix teenager so I still have some growing to do. I have never met any cats but I got along with my brothers. I'm not brave enough right now to meet any of the other dogs at the shelter. If you are interested in adopting me you can contact the animal shelter at 530.623.1370 option 1 to speak to shelter staff.
