*Due to state laws regarding out of state adoptions, we cannot adopt to families in Massachusetts or Rhode Island.* Lucy is an adorable small lab mix who looks to be approximately 1-2 years old. She was found abandoned with a litter of puppies during an ice storm desperately trying to keep them warm. She was the best little momma, but now her pups are grown and finding homes of their own and it's time for her to find her forever family. Listed breed is an educated guess made by our veterinarian and is NOT a guarantee - this also means we have no way of knowing what a puppy's adult size will be. This dog is currently being fostered in Mississippi and will be transported via Barton's Barkers transport services upon adoption. Their adoption fee is $500 and includes spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, a nose to tail vet check, microchip and transport costs. Second Chances lists dogs as being available in White River Junction, VT because we transport our dogs to the area every 3rd week after they have been adopted. All of our local shelters have a high euthanasia rate due to overpopulation so we created our rescue group to primarily adopt to the northern states to help keep as many dogs as we can from entering our kill shelters.
