Lucy-adopted

Meet Lucy....she's an adorable, petite female owner surrender (about 40 lbs) whose owner just left for college. Unfortunately for her, the remaining family members don't have time for her in their busy lives to give her the attention she needs, so they returned her to the breeder, who cannot keep her at this time.

She's a beautiful little girl with all over ticking and the sweetest all-liver puppy face with irresistible eyes! She still has her tail, which just adds to her character!

Lucy is about 1.5 years old and is not as rambunctious as you may think. She loves to play outside, but is good at relaxing while inside. She has not had too much training though so she will need someone to commit to working with her further. We would like to see her attend some basic obedience training classes; and therefore, she will be adopted with an obedience clause in her adoption contract.

When she originally came into our program, she was timid and scared when meeting new people. She would shy away, bark and even growl a bit, once she warmed up and knew it was ok, she'd get more comfortable. Our volunteers have been working with her and she's coming along nicely. She's a bit more confident and comfortable now, but continued training will help more with this as well.

Lucy is house trained, crate trained and respects fencing.

We feel Lucy would thrive in a home as a single dog or with another older, more settled male dog. Also since Lucy is just learning to feel more confident and comfortable, we think a home without young kids would be best.

So if you are looking for a sweet-eyed, beautiful little girl with lots of spirit, Lucy could be the gal for you!
