Lucy has so much love to give and gets along with everyone! She's good with cats, dogs, kids, and is especially fond of her humans! Lucy is the quintessential velcro dog - So much so that it is distressing to be away from you. She is slowly making progress with her separation anxiety and will need a patient family that understands it can take time to feel confident when alone. To help curb destructive behavior when left alone, her fosters are keeping her exercised, leaving her alone for only short periods of time, and slowly introducing crate training. Since her confidence building is still in its early stages, a crate will be a great tool for her to be trustworthy when left alone. Lucy knows so much already! She's house trained, well socialized, doesn't jump, sits for treats, and is very quiet (only whining when her humans are away). Not only is she a smart cookie, she's treat motivated and super eager to please - making her incredibly trainable! With the help of a slip leash, she is quickly learning her leash manners. Lucy's perfect forever family would give her daily exercise, provide a yard to play in, and take her on lots of adventures! She loves going "bye-bye and is the perfect adventure companion.
