Meet Lucy Lo: 1. She's a water baby. Loves to play in water or mud, hose, you name it. 2. I had major back surgery in May and when I came home, she was very calm and cautious with me. No jumping or anything, she just let me pet her. 3.On the 3rd morning I was home, I fell out of bed and she came to my side without prompting and stood there for me to use to help me get up. 4. If I fall asleep in the pm without using my oxygen, she jumps on my stomach to wake me up. 5. Lucy has the natural instincts of nurturing needed for an ESD. She will need further training, though. 6. She won't let anyone into the house until I open the door and ask them in. She remains at a sit/stay the whole time. 7. She plays well with other dogs slightly smaller than her and larger. I don't know about smaller because I haven't seen her with any. 8. She doesn't do well with cats. I also wouldn't necessarily place her in a home with small children because she doesn't know her size. 9. She will bond strongly with her family. 10. She is super intelligent. This is a good and bad thing. She's quick to learn with loving, positive training, but she gets bored and needs a job. 11. She's really into play. Fetch is her fun! However, if other dogs are playing too, she won't join in. 12. She's a HUGE snuggle baby. Snuggles and loves are a must. And she sleeps on the bed. I haven't crate trained her. 13. She needs help getting into the car. She rides better in the front seat. 14. She's house trained. Better to have a yard with a 6' fence, she can jump pretty high. 15. When she gets excited, she jumps and nips. I've been working with her on this. OFF seems to be the word that works best. 16. She hates lawn mowers and vacuums. In a nutshell, Lucy is an awesome, pawsome dog with so much love and potential for greatness. She deserves the best the world can give her.
