Hi! I'm Lucy. I'm a beautiful female Border Collie mix born around 06/04/21! I'm UTD on my vaccines and preventatives and am heartworm negative. I weigh 70 lbs. Here's what my foster mom has to say about me: "Sweet, easy going. She lays in my office at home while I work. She spent the first week in the crate at night with no problem. Now she sleeps in the bedroom with us. Can walk on the leash, but it takes a minute to remember that it is okay. She loves her bones. Starting to show some interest in stuffed toys. Great with my granddaughters. She is affectionate and loves attention. Hasn't been in direct contact with another dog, but she does fine with the dog next door. I'm so thankful my foster rescued me from the pound! Not only did she give me a nice home to stay in, but she has been helping me get ready for my new family! Please apply to adopt me today! Currently this sweet baby is with our rescue in Arkansas. We DO, however, transport monthly to the metro Detroit area of MI. Because we’re able to transport, we ARE able to accept adoption applications directly from residents of MI. Why do we transport? Because animal overpopulation is severe in our region, and stray and unwanted dogs have very little chance of finding a home here. These babies are, however, at a high risk of being neglected, abused, abandoned, euthanized or even shot (it’s “the way things are done” for some people down here). YOU are truly one of the only safe and happy endings for the lucky ones we are able to rescue. Upon approval of your adoption application, we will then transport your new furbaby to you in the metro Detroit area for just a small travel expense fee of $50 in addition to the adoption fee.
