Luke

Luke is a big handsome 7-year-old Lab mix. He is very sweet, smart, loyal and protective. Luke is house trained and knows basic commands and is good on leash. He is great with adults and teenagers in his home; however, he doesn’t like the hubbub of teenage friends coming and going and is protective of his 12-14 year old teenagers. Luke’s ideal home is one where he is the only dog in an adult-only home where active teenage kids aren’t coming and going. He is fine with adult visitors. He is not a fan of other dogs in his neighborhood and would love a big fenced in yard to play in. He weighs 100 pounds and is full grown. Meet and greets are by appointment only with approved applicants, this pup is in the Richmond/Midlothian VA area. Adoption fee for this pup is waived; however, approval process is still necessary. This pup is microchipped. We believe you can always teach an ‘old’ dog new tricks so we highly recommend continued obedience training for this smart pup; it stimulates the dog's mind and establishes a good dog/adopter relationship. This pup, like all pups should be on heartworm preventative, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure!
