Meet Luke! Luke came to us several years ago as part of our Neverland litter. At that time, he was known as Peter Pan, but his adopters chose to name him Luke. Sadly, after almost 5 years together, they had to give him up due to no fault of his own. Luke is an incredible dog. He is super friendly and affectionate with everyone he meets. He's always smiling and showing off his funky blue tongue. Luke has never known a stranger. He is very easy-going and eager to please. He enjoys running around and playing, but also loves his comfy bed and all his toys. Luke is house-trained, and knows several commands: sit, stay, shake and lie down (though he doesn't always stay down). He's potty-trained. Luke is very food-driven, so he is eager to please. Unfortunately, he has a long list of severe food allergies that cause him to breakout in scabs and made him lose a ton of weight. Our adoption director has actually been making his food by hand, with a variety of fruits, vegetables, and donated meat. He will gobble down whatever she puts in front of him. Preparing his food this way has totally eliminated his allergy symptoms. In daycare, he gets along well with dogs of every shape and size, although he does not like to be climbed on. However, even when other dogs push his boundaries, he always gives them a warning instead of being reactive. He has lived with small children in the past and done amazingly well. He has not been tested with cats. Luke is five years old as of February 2023. He has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped. and on heartworm prevention. With an approved application and home visit, his adoption fee is $106.
