Please meet Luna! If this pretty girl could talk, she’d have a sad tale to tell. You see, she and another dog were cruelly abandoned in a house after their family moved without telling anyone. The poor pups were alone for 2 weeks before being discovered. Thankfully, they managed to survive and have since been receiving lots of TLC in their private foster home. With kindness and patience, they have recovered from their traumatic experience and are ready to hang their leashes in their forever homes. Luna is a wirehaired terrier mix. She’s about 2 years old and weighs in a 36 pounds. We strongly suspect that Luna was not well treated during her early life. She was skittish when rescued and it took a while for her to learn to trust humans. She is still understandably shy around strangers, but she has come a long way and warms up nicely once she feels safe. Luna is house trained, but not a big fan of going out in the rain. She much prefers to stay inside and use piddle pads on rainy days. She has been exposed to other dogs, cats and donkeys at her foster home and does fine with all. She doesn’t chase or bark at the animals, but she will bark to warn you when strange humans are approaching, Her foster mom’s grandchildren visit frequently and she’s great with them. After her rough start in life, Luna will need time to adjust in her new home, but her happy personality will come through quickly as she gains confidence. This darling girl with make a wonderful addition to a loving and patient family. Luna has been spayed, micro-chipped and she’s up to date on vaccinations. Her doggy bag is packed and she is all ready to head to her forever home where she’ll never be abandoned or treated unkindly again.
