My Story

Playful potato alert! This chonky girl is as sweet as can be and bursting with energy. Luna loves exploring the outdoors, especially rolling around in the grass and romping in the splash pad on a hot day. Luna is a well-mannered girl who responds well to training. She knows commands like sit, paw, and even other paw, showcasing her intelligence and eagerness to learn. Luna also keeps her kennel clean, meaning she may be housebroken. In the play yard, Luna is a riot! She may not be too interested in toys, but she finds the water hose absolutely fascinating. Her playful antics and love for outdoor adventures make her a joy to be around. Luna also loves meeting and playing with other dogs at the kennel. Luna is a gentle giant at heart, showing her affection by sitting close and enjoying cuddles on the bench. Luna is a loving and affectionate pup who is eager to find a forever home where she can continue to explore, play, and shower her family with love. Luna is ready to brighten your days and fill your home with playful exuberance! She is estimated to be 4 years old and currently weigh 71 lbs. Visit www.tinyurl.com/meetacitydog to set up a meet! Visit: 9203 Detroit Avenue Cleveland, OH 44102 Fee: $61 | Includes spay/neuter, shots, microchip, license, The CITY DOGS mission is to increase adoptions from the City Kennel by changing the image of the pit bulls who make up the majority of the kennel population, by preparing all adoptable dogs in the kennel for lives in loving homes and by creating as many opportunities as possible for the public to meet and get to know our dogs for the terrific pets they are meant to be. Our Adoption Process... Here's a little about how things work: All of the CITY DOGS posted for adoption are available for direct adoption from the kennel, unless noted otherwise. You must schedule a meet with a dog in advance - we are not currently accepting walk-ins. Please look online first to see if there are any dogs you think would be a good fit for your home before scheduling a meet. To get the process started, visit www.tinyurl.com/meetacitydog and fill out the form. One of our adoption counselors will get in touch to schedule and confirm your meet! At the kennel, an adoption counselor will introduce you and your family to the adoptable dogs, share information we know about them, and discuss our suggested ways for successfully integrating a new dog into your home. You are welcome to meet multiple dogs. If the dog you adopt is already fixed, he or she may leave with you that day - otherwise, the dog can go home after receiving the spay or neuter surgery.) About Our Dogs: All available dogs have gone through a behavioral and medical assessment. This assessment is a snapshot of who the dog is at that given time. We cannot make any guarantees with regard to behavior, temperament or health of any City Dog once they are in the home. Most of our dogs are picked up as strays, so we do not know what kind of home environment they were living in (i.e. with kids, other dogs or other cats), nor do we know if most of them are house trained. Everything we know about them is based on volunteer and staff observations. We do have some dogs in foster homes, where they will have more information about how the dog is in a home environment. It is very hard to tell with certainty whether or not a dog will be good with kids, cats or another dog. If you have kids in the home or another dog, we do require that they be present for a meet and greet with the dog you are considering for adoption. Heath/Vaccinations: Dogs that are adopted directly from the kennel need to go to your personal vet within two weeks of leaving the kennel. All dogs receive their DAPPL, Rabies, and Bordatella vaccines, though you may be required to get follow up boosters. All dogs come microchipped and with a Cuyahoga County license.
