My Story

Luna Kay Breed: Anatolian Shepherd Mix Weight: 60 lbs DOB: 12/1/2022 Dog friendly: Yes Cat friendly: Yes - dog savvy cats are best. She will chase Kid friendly: Yes - due to size and energy older kids are best Crate trained: Yes House trained: Yes Luna Kay came to rescue when her foot was caught in a trap. She had 2 toes amputated, but she has now healed from it and no longer favors her foot! Her foster mom says: "Luna Kay is a beautiful, loving and sweet girl. She was very wary of men when she first arrived. My husband worked with her slowly, he is now one of her favorites. Luna is very friendly to everyone she meets. She has been friendly with children. I would advise children older than 6ish based only on the fact that she is still a puppy and because of her large size. She would be best with another dog to play with. She has been around a variety size dogs and loves to play with all of them. A fenced in yard is a must - she needs room to run!" Her foster's cats are not very dog savvy, and Luna Kay does want to give chase even after 3 weeks. It's recommended that cats in the home are experienced and confident with dogs or that adopter considers professional training to work on coexisting together!
