Luna (out of state adoption)

Luna is a special petite gal, looking for a special home filled with kindness, love and understanding! Luna had a rough life before rescue - she had several old injuries and was left chained up. She couldn’t really move her back legs well - she just kind of scooted around. After a couple of intensive surgeries, she is very mobile and she loves to run around. She will need someone committed to making sure that she stays mobile and healthy! Luna is very loyal and committed to the people that she trusts. She doesn’t necessarily trust strangers immediately but with a little patience and some treats, she warms right up. When she loves you, she’ll bring you presents and just be so excited to see you. It’s really touching to see her open up to you. A calm, stable home without a lot of strangers coming and going would be her ideal. Luna plays well with other dogs. She’s been around dogs of all sizes - puppies to very large - and loves them all. Ideally she would have another male dog as a companion. Cats are unknown. Luna is about 30 lbs, so a great smaller size. She does well in a kennel. She seems to be housetrained. We go through an interview and application process that includes a veterinarian reference and home check. We try to find the best fit! Luna is currently living in Mississippi and can be transported north once adoption is finalized.
