My Story

Meet Lyla! She is the sweetest. She is very affectionate and loves to give kisses. She gets so excited when anyone comes through the door and makes friends with everyone she meets. Cuddling, getting pets, and just being close to her people are her favorite. She is high energy when it is time to play, but will relax when play time is over. She is very smart and will use her husky voice to tell you what she thinks. She loves playing with the other dog in her foster home. She loves playing with her toys. Her favorite toy is rope tug of war and playing with the kids in the foster family is her favorite. Lyla is fully house trained and can be left home alone without a crate. She loves to run and a fenced yard would be ideal for her. She is great with kids as young as toddler aged. She would thrive in a house with another dog. She has been cat tested and cannot be in a home with cats. She needs basic command training. She will be an excellent student - it only took her three days to learn to sit before being fed!! --------------------- About our process and fees Our application: https://laststoprescue.com/adoption-app/ If you're interested in donating, sponsoring or volunteering please visit us at www.LastStopRescue.com or follow us on Facebook at www.Facebook.com/Laststoprescue.il! We treat these dogs as individuals with needs and to that end all of our dogs will have been in fosters no less than two weeks, they will have at least started training if not attend weekly classes and get daily training at home with the fosters! Which means our longest residents will be the best trained, as long as they're with us we're going to keep socializing and working through any issues they may have. When you adopt from us you will have a very clear picture of the dog you're meeting and on going support! Our Fees are as follows: Senior dogs over 7 are $450 Adult dogs are $650 Puppies under 1 year are $800 Specific breeds are $900 With each adoption you will be... 1. Given up to four hours of free training (from the foster and coordinator), a. Some dogs require additional free training hours before they can go home. 2. Full medical report of all findings, 3. All of the supplies needed for a new dog as we attain these for the care of each dog, 4. A full run down on their behavioral status, where they started, where they are and how far is left to go. This will be detailed in a training plan from us about what they can or cannot handle well and it will be discussed as much as needed! 5. On going support post adoption as long as needed! We fully vet all of our dogs which is reflected in our adoption fee. On average we will pay about 600 dollars in medical per dog. Every dog gets a full blood panel, fecal/urine check, heartworm & tick panel and treatment if required, spayed/neutered, all shots and boosters, along with anything specific to their needs.
