My Story

Meet Lylla! Hello! I'm Lylla, the 6-month-old pup whose zest for life and enthusiasm light up every room I enter. At 30 pounds of pure joy, I might be a Pitbull and Lab mix with a confident demeanor fit for royalty. I exude charm with a stunning black coat and a face that could entice a thousand belly rubs. Despite the challenges I've faced in my past, my spirit shines through, a testament to my resilience and determination to find happiness and spread joy wherever I go. I adore my crate, which turns mealtime into a royal feast. I collect all my special toys and fancy chews like treasures in my kingdom. While I've mastered the art of potty training, I will still use a puppy pad in emergencies. However, we stopped using puppy pads a few months ago, and I'm finally getting the hang of waiting until morning to potty. We've had a couple of accidents, but nothing major. The protection over my food has significantly decreased, as I learned no one wants it! I now take meals out of my crate with the other dogs, and there is no issue. A social butterfly, I love meeting new people and making friends, though I insist on a proper introduction. Fiercely loyal to my people, I guard them with determination. I'm shy with other dogs outside the house but not aggressive. I am protective if a strange dog or person comes to the house. Despite that, I'm quick to extend my friendship to all who cross my path, making them feel secure and accepted in my presence. In the company of my canine companions, I'm playful. I engage in spirited games of wrestling, tug-of-war, and fetch with grace. My favorite thing to do is play in the yard. I play with little frogs and frolic with butterflies without harming them. We have a river stone gravel path, and I always find a special rock to carry around with me. I love to dig holes, but only in the dirtgrass is safe. I reign supreme when it comes to adventures in the great outdoors, fearlessly exploring from the car or on a leash. Barking has calmed down regarding delivery guys, but I am still working on gauging other cat or dog visitors that approach the yard. I'm always smiling, tail-wagging, and playing with my foster brothers. Anytime we leave the house or go to the park, I do this goofy happy skip. I am perfectly content being alone and will stay outside, lying in the grass and playing with a rock or one of my toys long after my foster siblings return. Whether I'm lounging in the lap of luxury or exploring, my sweet nature and eager-to-please attitude will capture hearts. Long live Princess Lylla! Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog youve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dogs needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesnt stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan Coupons for a fun visit to Petco Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes!
