Meet Lyra: your Loyal, Cosmic Companion! Hello, I'm Lyra, a 4-year-old Dutch Shepherd mix weighing in at 45 pounds of pure starry love. I'm healthy, spayed and ready for my next adventure. I was once adopted into a loving home in 2021, but sadly, my owner passed. Now, I'm looking for a new furever home where I can shine. I'm as sweet and loyal as any Greek goddess, with a personality that's both protective and friendly. I have a fairly high energy level, perfect for an active owner who enjoys exploring the universe. I also love to relax and cuddle on the couch or in bed. I get along well with other dogs and enjoy a stellar play session! I haven't met any cats up close, but I find them quite fascinating during our walks. Kids? Probably yes, but slightly older ones might be best since I'm working on not jumping when I'm excited. I love puzzle toys, sunbathing, exploring the yard, and playing at the beach or Fiesta Island. I have a quirky love for egg cartons and Nespresso boxes other than that, I don't chew on your things! I'm bathroom, house, and leash trained. I know all the important commands like sit, down, off, leave it, and place. I'm still working on not greeting with my front paws, but I'm otherwise well-trained and eager to please. No separation anxiety here I'm perfectly fine out of my crate when you're not home, though I'm always over the moon when you're back! My ideal furever home is with someone who's as active as I am, loves to play, and enjoys having a loyal shadow by their side. I'm great with other dogs and would do well with another pup who can match my energy. I've never been around kids, but I'm very sweet, so I think I'd be fine with them, especially if they're slightly older.
