Meet Lyra! She is an intelligent lady who enjoys leisurely walks with a friend. As soon as her leash is on, Lyra is ready to get caught up on the latest pee-mail. She bounces from one smell spot to the other. Exploring is one of her favorite things. She is very smart and knows sit/down. She will do anything for a treat. We are sure she would love to learn new tricks, and would do so very quickly. We don't know what this girl has been through in her short life, but she seems to have had a rough go at it. Lyra doesn't care for strangers, but we've been able to win her over with treats...I'm sure you can too! Since being here, she has opened up to some of the staff and volunteers. After she's gone for a walk, she enjoys a snuggle with one of her friends. Lyra loves to play with other dogs, so please let us know if you would like to do a meet and greet with your dogs. Lyra would like a home without children since she prefers the company of patient adults. She may not want to have frequent visitors over because it takes Lyra a minute to warm up to new people. She's sensitive, quirky, and cute as a button! She values patience and positivity as people get to know her.
