My Story

Meet Mabel! She is a 7 month old spayed female Anatolian Shepherd/Greyhound mix. Mabel came in alongside her brother (Dipper, who has his own listing here on our Petfinder!). Mabel is the more outgoing of the two, and warms up pretty quickly to new people. While she can be a little shy around strangers, she is always ready to make a new best friend! Mabel was found as a stray and was never claimed by her owner. This unfortunately means that we don't know much about her background. Mabel gets along great with her brother, and seems interested in our other dogs here, but we have not yet tested her with anyone other than Dipper. She has met out office cats briefly and they made her nervous, but she did fine around them. We always recommend a meet and greet with pets in the home prior to adoption to ensure that Mabel is the pooch for you. Mabel has also met some kids here and did fine with them, but she does get a little scared if they're too rambunctious or run at her. Mabel also isn't trained to not jump, and while she is doing it just to show some love, she is capable of knocking down littles. Any families with small children will need to supervise them with Mabel until she gets fully comfortable being around them. Since Mabel was a stray, we can't guarantee what level of training she has received. She is better than her brother at keeping her kennel clean, but she still isn't 100% on her housetraining. She will need an owner with the patience to get her to the top of her game. Trust us, though, that this sweet girl is definitely worth it! Mabel has received her first round of vaccinations and is finally ready to go to her forever home! If you think this pretty girl could be the dog for you, stop by and meet her today! P.S. Mabel and her brother, Dipper, don't have to be adopted together, but if you are interested in both, there is a discount when taking two pets home at the same time!
