Mabel

Mabel came to us from a kill shelter where she was going to be killed because she was heartworm positive. We have treated her for heartworm and she is doing great. She is about 4 years old, is a bassett/beagle mix, and weighs about 24#.

She was a stray, so we don't know anything about her past. She is very easy-going, typical hound with her nose to the ground. She is quite shy at first, but has come a long way while in our care. Now she just needs a home to blossom!

She gets along with other dogs, cats, kids, you name it. She is very passive. She is crate trained, and her foster home is working on her house training. Mabel loves to cuddle on the couch with you. She is also very playful.

This dog's adoption fee is $265 (plus tax). This includes being spayed, current on Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella vaccinations, microchipped with the HomeAgain microchip, treated for heartworm, teeth cleaned, heartworm medicated during the heartworm season (May-Dec) while in our care, comes with a Gentle Leader headcollar (if we feel it is needed), and is currently learning Basic Obedience commands and good doggie manners.
