My Story

Breed: mixed Age: 1 Weight: 5 Lbs Good With Dogs: yes Good With Cats: Unknown Good With Kids: older children Energy Level: high Special Needs: no Puppy mill survivor: no Requirements: > Secure fenced yard > Another small dog in the home > Experienced adopter Maddie was rescued from a kill shelter. She’s just 1 year old and is the sweetest, playful girl! She LOVES playing with toys and loves going for walks. And knows some basic commands like sit and come, she is a fast learner and would do great with agility training. She’s a fast runner during the day, but also a snuggler in the evening. We don’t know her exact breed. She looks a bit like a Maltese to us, however, her soft fur does shed some. Whatever her lineage is, that cute pink nose and her happy demeanor make this pup the perfect pet! Maddie is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. She is ready for her forever home. Maddie is currently being fostered in Rochester, NY. Transportation is available to our areas of operation as noted below. Meet and greets available in the Rochester, NY area only. To apply for Maddie, you can find the application here: www.dutchcountryanimalrescue.org/adopt.html . PLEASE READ ALL OF THE INFORMATION BELOW! We currently adopt in the states of PA*, NJ, NY**, DE, and some areas of MD. We cannot accept applications from other states at this time. *Eastern half **Excluding NYC, Bronx, Long Island If you are interested in adopting this dog, please fill out our adoption application which you can find on our website at www.dutchcountryanimalrescue.org/adopt.html We will reply within one week if your application meets the criteria for this dog. Our adoption fees are on our application. All of our rescues are spayed/neutered, up to date on rabies and DHPP, heartworm tested, treated for worms and fleas and most are microchipped. We are not a shelter, we are 100% volunteer public charity. All of our dogs are in foster homes until they are adopted. Since we are not a shelter, we do not receive government funding. We are a public charity that relies solely on funds through our adoption fee, fundraisers, and private donations. Since we are 100% volunteer based, all funds collected go directly towards the rescue and vet costs of our dogs. We take each rescue personally and spend a lot of effort trying to match the right dog to the right family. Thank you for considering one of our rescued dogs
