Meet Maddie, a sweet and energetic 56-pound dog looking for her perfect home! Maddie thrives on attention from her favorite people and absolutely loves getting her belly rubbed! She knows basic commands like "sit" but could use some additional training to refine her manners. Maddie is playful and adores toys, though her play style is a bit rough and tumble, so she would love an active home where she can burn off her energy. She has shown that she enjoys bath-time, especially when there's a treat like sprayed cheese or peanut butter involved! A volunteer also noted that Maddie has a chill vibe during walks, walking loosely alongside them and being nice and easy to handle. We believe that Maddie will do best in a home with experienced dog owners and without other pets. She's a happy and playful dog who loves to engage with people, though her energetic and exuberant nature means she might not be the best fit for a home with small children. Be sure to check the "shelter information" box on the listing to see if the pet is located at our Fairfax Campus (4500 West Ox Road, Fairfax) or our Lorton Campus (8875 Lorton Road, Lorton). Then, come in during our open hours!
