Mae Mae was taken with her other relatives "Cookie, Gi-Gi and Yashoo" from her owner who was a "breeder" because she had too many dogs and weren't even up to date with rabies shots, they were flea infested and none of them were fixed.. but rather than keep the older ones like she should have the owner elected to surrender her two senior dogs... so after 10 yrs of having puppies Mae and Yashoo find themselves sitting in a shelter waiting for a home that may never come because it is difficult to adopt out senior dogs. Mae is a wonderful little girl and on the bigger side (12 lbs) for a chihuahua, she absolutely loves attention and is in great shape for her age, she is 12 yrs old.
