Maebel

Maebel is a sweet, and special girl who is searching for her perfect home. This mixed-breed doggo does well walking with other dogs but is looking for a dog free home due to nervousness with close interactions with dogs. Maebel isn't a fan of cats and would prefer a home without any felines. Like many of us today, Maebel is working through some anxiety. She's currently on medication for this, and she is managing it well! For Maebel to continue to thrive, she is looking for a patient forever family who is excited to work with her on conquering this anxiety and learning to trust. She can be a bit fearful when she meets new people and has some body sensitivity, but already, she has favorite volunteers here at PAWS and she gets so wiggly and excited when she sees them! Maebel's previous owners reported that she would sometimes guard high-value resources in her home, so her adopters should be aware of this and motivated to continue working with her. Our adoption team can recommend an excellent trainer to help mitigate these issues as well! Ultimately, Maebel is a darling, loving dog who just needs a few extra dollops of love and patience.
