Arrival story: Maggie was found as a stray and brought to the local animal shelter. She stayed there for quite some time, but her owners never came to claim her. Since she was not claimed or re-adopted, she has entered our foster care program so that she can live in a home setting until a permanent home can be found for her.
Approximate age & weight: Maggie is 2 yrs old and 28 lbs.
Personality: Maggie is calm, but outgoing and social. It is obvious that before becoming a stray, she lived the life of a house dog as she has exemplary house manners and has even been trained. She knows commands like, "sit" and "stay" and enjoys going for rides in the car. She is also buddies with her foster parents large sized dog, and she is currently residing with a few cats too. She just ignores them and lets them be.
The ideal home for this animal...: Maggie is so social and friendly - we think she'd be great for a first time dog owner, or in a home with kids and/or other pets.
