My Story

Maggie is a 6 year old, 30 lb Australian Cattle Dog mix. She is insanely lovable, loves to cuddle with/on you, and loves giving kisses. Maggie is an active dog that loves ample outdoor time and exercise, but also loves cuddling on the couch with you for hours. She likes playing fetch, going for long walks, or playing with the water hose! Maggie would absolutely love a house with a backyard instead of an apartment so she can have access to the outdoors whenever she wants! Though Maggie is active, you can often find her cuddling you on the couch, people watching out the window, or just enjoying her time beside her person. Maggie thinks she’s a big dog at heart and does well with bigger, submissive dogs when introduced properly although she would thrive as an only dog too. She does best without small children and small animals due to her cattle dog breed traits. She is fully crate trained and LOVES her kennel – she chooses to sleep in there during the day with the door open. Say the word “CRATE” and she runs right to it immediately. She knows how to “sit” on command and only does well with positive-based reinforcement/training. Maggie does well out in public and does great meeting new people. She is very friendly! www.loveandpawsrescue.com/adopt Maggie is located in Fort Worth, TX. We do transport dogs to Colorado straight to your home once you are approved to adopt. We understand the importance of matching the right dog up with the right family, so our process includes phone calls, picture and video exchanges, as well as FaceTime meetings so you can meet the dog virtually in many ways and discuss your preferences with us to determine if the dog is a good fit. We do charge a $250 transport fee on top of the dog's adoption fee.
