When Maggie first arrived at the beginning of December, she was TERRIFIED. Her aggressive bark made the volunteers a little nervous. Not long after arriving, she warmed up to many of the volunteers, greeting us with kisses and lots of tail wags. However, she’s still leery of a handful of volunteers. We never fully know a shelter dog’s story, and Maggie clearly has had some sort of traumatic past. Not to mention that shelter life can be very stressful on certain dogs, Maggie being one of them. Her forever home needs to be patient with her and know that it might take several meetings for her to be comfortable around them. But we know, Maggie is worth the extra effort! Since Maggie is a special case, it’d be best to have no other pets or young children in the house. Adoption fees are $250 which includes spay or neuter, vaccines- Rabies, Distemper and Bordetella, AVID microchip and County Rabies Tag. Seniors- over 8 fee is $125.
