My foster mom laughs at my zoomies - she tells me my back legs run faster then my front legs - I love chasing and playing with my foster siblings - even though I am small, I am mighty when I play - I am proud to say that I have mastered potty training in my foster home! Reminders and routine help! - I love exploring outside and love, love, love the water! Ill go for a swim anytime! - I'm great at walking on leash, and love to smell all the things. - I can be a little insecure and don't like to be left alone BUT I am doing better each time! Foster mom gives me a stuffed Kong or a chew bone and that helps! - I sleep in a bed on the floor in my foster parents room, I like to be with my people at night! I do a great job of sleeping through the night or waking foster mom up if I need to potty. -I like to talk to my toys - playfully bark at my foster siblings when I want to play - bark and whine when I want something -I will be your very best snuggle buddie - comedian - follow you everywhere and love you forever!! For my forever home, I'm searching for - Someone who won't leave me home alone for more than 4 hours, at least not until I am older. The older I am, the more I can stay home alone. I just don't want you to get mad at me if I have accidents or chew things I'm not supposed to when you leave me for too long. I'm a puppy, so I get bored quickly and when I'm bored I could get in trouble. - I am looking for my forever home, not my for right now home. So as I get bigger I need someone to teach me how to be the best dog I can be. I am young and still learning. You may want to teach me some new tricks like sit, stay, etc. Professional training will help me bond with you. That sounds like fun! - I saved the most important for last. I am hoping my new mom or dad will snuggle with me, play with me and love me forever and ever! This puppy is microchipped and up to date on age appropriate vaccines and monthly preventatives. With limited resources, the shelters are forced to put down 50-90% of the animals that come in the front door. OPH provides pet adoption services to families located in VA, DC, MD, PA and neighboring states. OPH is a 501(c)(3) organization and is 100% donor funded. OPH does not operate a shelter or have a physical location. We rely on foster families who open their homes to give love and attention to each pet before finding a forever home.All adult dogs, cats, and kittens are altered prior to adoption. Puppies too young to be altered at the time of adoption must be brought to our partner vet in Ashland, VA for spay or neuter paid for by Operation Paws for Homes by 6 months of age. Adopters may choose to have the procedure done at their own vet before 6 months of age and be reimbursed the amount that the rescue would pay our partner vet in Ashland.
