Magnum and Gunner - Bonded Pair
Gunner and Magnum are a bonded pair. Their owner lost his home during the floods in New Jersey this past spring and is in need of finding a home for his dogs. They have lived together all their lives and are very attached to each other and their owner.
BR> Magnum is the more social of the two and does get along with other dogs. Gunner is more aloof at first and will take a little longer to warm up to strangers. Both of them enjoy playing fetch and hanging out with each other. They are both pure bred German Shepherds and are in good health.
Both dogs are good sized, about 100 pounds and are house broken and well trained. We are working on trying to find a housing solution for their owner and both dogs, but time is running out. If you are interested in providing these two dogs a forever home, please contact us. Gunner and Magnum are both up to date on all their shots and neutered.
The best solution would be for their owner to find an affordable housing in the Bergenfield, Closter area that will allow two large German Shepherd Dogs. If you can help in that manner please contact us at [email protected].
Please note:
GSGSR does not adopt outside the immediate New Jersey area. We may consider adoption locations bordering New Jersey and parts of Staten Island.
We DO NOT do long distance adoptions because we do home visits prior to the dog going to its new home.
The age requirement for adoption is 25 to 70 years old.
We require all adopters attend professional training with their adopted dog.
We are an all volunteer organization and every effort is made to proceed as efficiently as possible with an application. As with all rescues, we do require veterinary references if you have a pet, personal reference, a phone interview and home visit. This process has been created to insure that we match each applicant with the best possible dog.
