It in no way obligates you to adopt, it is simply part of our process. If the dog you are interested in is adopted before you can meet them or if we do not currently have a dog you are interested in we still encourage you to go through the approval process. This girl is full of vim and vigor and is beautiful, don't you think? She is also 100% puppy at 10 months old. Maisie loves, loves, loves humans AND she LOVES, LOVES, LOVES other dogs, sometimes to a fault. She is a submissive girl but she is also persistent. If she meets a dog that is not interested in playtime, she will continuously try to change his/her mind! If they reprimand her, she accepts it with no argument and then comes back and asks them, "Are you really sure you don't want to play with cute, loveable me?" Maisie is, as we have said, 10 months old now and fully vetted and ready for her new home. She is crate trained, 99% house trained, spayed and microchipped. She can go to a home that has another, very chill dog or she can be an only child with just her human....and her many toys. She loves squeaky toys, hard toys, tennis balls, soft toys, but like any ACD, the soft toy will not last long, so make sure it's inexpensive! Maisie will benefit from ongoing training to become everything we know she can be. She is currently living with her fosters and four other dogs in Rio Rico with no issues....other than her persistence in wanting them all to play with her on request. She weighs in at about 40 lbs and will likely gain another 5-10 lbs as she matures.
