Malcomb is a handsome & healthy 5 year old, purebred Australian Shepherd herding dog. He weigh in at about 53 pounds, is reliably house trained, and knows (and likes) his crate!
Aussies sometimes “encourage” the critters they’re herding with a ‘nip’, and Malcomb can fall victim to that temptation, which can be a problem with smaller kids or bigger dogs. Despite his active and energetic nature, he also wants to be loved on as well. He needs a human who can offer a blend of structure, exercise (“a tired dog is a good dog”), and affection.
If you feel your home might be the right place for this wonderful dog, the place to start is with the adoption application found at www.dfwrescueme.org/adopt. Once submitted, the foster will contact you to tell you more, and to arrange a meeting! The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $250.00, which includes their vaccinations and spay/neuter.
Malcomb is participating in the DFW Rescue Me Guest Dog Program, so custody and ongoing care are provided by the foster, not by DFWRM.
