MANNY - Paws Behind Bars Trained

MANNY is a 4 year old, male mastiff/boxer mix that weighs 75 lbs. He's big, he's chunky and basically a big squishmallow. Manny spent quite some time in the shelter as he really takes time with anything new. He sets the pace, and its slow, to try to understand what's going on. Our Paws Behind Bars prison dog training program provides a dog more than obedience training so using this as a socialization experience was very appropriate for Manny. He has bonded closely to his inmate and, one step at a time, the world is becoming a more comfortable place. And why do we call him a squishmallow? Manny fashions himself a lap dog. And if he can't fit in your lap, rolling over for belly rubs are the next best thing. Manny's perfect home will be a quiet, patient one. He behaves well around other dogs and believe it or not, his prison best friend is Bolt, our energetic husky mix. That said, his inmate is the center of his world.
