Marcel

Marcel is a 2.5-year-old, 45-pound standard poodle who was born and raised in an Amish puppy mill. His early life was far from ideal, as he spent his beginning in a confined and stressful environment, used solely for breeding. Despite these tough beginnings, Marcel's gentle nature has always shone through. He is skittish, a trait shaped by his limited exposure to the outside world and human interaction. Loud noises and sudden movements can easily startle him, but beneath this nervous exterior lies a sweet and loving soul. With a soft touch and kind words, Marcel quickly warms up, revealing his gentle disposition. Marcel is making significant strides in his new life outside the mill. He is adapting well to crate training, finding a sense of security in his own space. This small, safe haven helps him feel more comfortable as he learns about the world around him. Every day, Marcel shows progress. He follows his foster mom around the house and even rested his chin on her knee for pets. With patience and care, he is slowly discovering the joys of being a cherished pet rather than a breeding dog. His journey is one of resilience and hope as he learns to trust, love, and be loved in return. Marcel is fostered in the Cincinnati, OH area. His adoption fee is $450.00. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.
