Senior Hearts Rescue and Renewal is the only licensed senior dog rescue organization in Western Pennsylvania. We do not have a shelter or a public facility. ALL of our dogs reside in foster homes in the greater Pittsburgh, PA area. We are a 100% volunteer organization. Please respect our volunteers' time. If a dog is listed on PetFinder, he/she IS available for adoption. We cannot reply to messages, phone calls, and emails about a dog until we have received, reviewed, and approved an adoption application. You MUST complete the application in its entirety in order to be considered as a potential adopter. Please select "More About Us" for further details on our adoption requirements. You can meet a dog ONLY after we have completed our adoption approval process. And now a few words about our Mr. Marco… Marco is a 12 year young guy who weighs 14 lbs. He is very excited to find his furever home, know that he is loved and wanted, and make his humans happy every day. He is SO friendly! He loves all people and dogs, has a funny personality, and will “talk” to you when he wants something and he knows what he wants! Marco is a joy to have around and is very satisfied to be relaxing near his person. He will thrive in a home where his humans are home more often than not. If you work remotely you are lucky because Marco happens to be an A+ assistant. Marco will need a fur sibling in his new home. He likes being around dogs and once comfortable will play with them and they will be the best of friends. A consistent routine has really helped Marco to be his best self. He needs a few short walks a day. He likes going out and being social but is VERY happy to come back home. His back legs are weak and short and slow walks will help him get stronger. He doesn't do steps so he will have to be carried if steps are involved. His furever person will need to appreciate his funny personality and not be annoyed by him barking to tell you when he wants something (to eat, go inside,etc). Marco is an incredible dog and is waiting to give you all the unconditional love you can handle. He can be adopted within a two-hour driving radius of Pittsburgh, PA.
