Margot

· Sad news! Please SHARE!!! Margot was adopted, but she has been returned to the Bedford County Animal shelter (Bedford, Virginia). The adopter reported that after a week Margot showed “aggressive behaviors “ towards her husband (and hide from other men) and “must have been abused by a man”. Due to this report, her options are now limited. I am unable to get her back into foster with me temporarily (that situation will hopefully change within a month but this is a county shelter that is beyond full). Margot met multiple men while with me for two months and showed no aggressive behaviors, but I don’t have old men living in my home. There is also no drinking or partying happening in my house or young children. Margot met multiple friends at/in my house, but always one or two at a time. Margot loves other similar sized playful friendly dogs (and did well meeting both smaller and larger dogs), thrives with a routine that includes daily walks, and is crate/house trained. She is spayed, hw negative, and up to date on vaccines. We know she does very well with women. I believed her fearful behaviors (which improved to the point I sometimes forgot about them) were from under socialization, but it is possible she was abused. She spent a month in the shelter afraid but making some improvements before staying for two months with me. Please share her!! She has now been returned twice (first time within a day and no negative reports). She just wants a safe relaxing home with love and preferably another more confident dog to play with (but another dog is not a requirement). If there is an adult/older male involved, slow introductions and/or training would likely be required, but I know there are all female households out there that she could adjust to more easily.
