About Marley: Marley was originally adopted 3.5 years ago by a family with children. Following the family's decision to relocate internationally, he was returned to the rescue organization. This handsome boy is a little confused, but has demonstrated resilience and taken well to his foster home. Now it's time for a much deserved PERMANENT placement! Personality: Marley is a bundle of enthusiasm wrapped in stunning copper fur. He adores being around people and craves attention, but is also willing to chill out on the couch! Whether it's a game of fetch in the backyard or a walk at your local park, Marley is always up for an adventure. He is sociable, thrives on human interaction, and quickly bonds with his trusted people. Training and Behavior: Marley is a smart and engaged learner. He already knows basic commands like sit, down, and come, and is eager to learn more with positive reinforcement training! He is a pro with potty training and house manners, does well on leash, and doesn't mark when walking. Due to his breed mix, Marley has very high prey drive with birds and squirrels and will need continued work with a professional trainer to reign in his hypervigilance around these distractions. Ideal Home: Marley would thrive in a loving home where he receives plenty of attention, exercise, and mental stimulation. An active household with a fenced yard would be ideal for him to burn off his energy and enjoy outdoor playtime, though he could also live comfortably in an apartment or single story home as long as he receives proper enrichment. Marley is comfortable with respectful children ages 10+, but no cats or small dogs please!
