Marley

Hi I'm Marley! I've been waiting for a forever home for over 550 days, with no applications for me. I'm not sure why. I was rescued from a Southern California shelter on my DEADline day in early December 2022. The shelter volunteers LOVED me because of my famous hugs, and friendly wag. I've lived with my foster mom since mid December, and she describes me as "a sweet, playful and funny girl." My foster mom says I'm very alert when I go for a walk, and an experienced dog handler would be a good match for me. I'm happy to relax with you on the couch, and when you leave me alone I will protest initially, but I settle down and wait for your return. I love to do zoomies around in my space and become very excited, but I also easily calm down. I had 2 playgroup opportunities at a doggie day care, and I wasn't happy around the other dogs. With the right meet and greet I might find that I like other dogs my size. l do get excited and like to chase the cats during my walks, so a cat-free home is probably safest. I love everyone I meet, and I really like the kids I am living with, but because of my zeal I might accidentally knock over a wee one. Big, sturdy kids would be great!
