Hi, my name is Marmaduke but you can call me Duke. I’m a very handsome, 20 lb young Black Mouth Cur boy (about 4 months) who enjoys playtime with my foster dog siblings, cuddles, kisses, hugs, snacks, meal time, more playtime, and naps. Recently, I started jumping in the doggie pool, and I think I may like to play in water. I am working on my potty training, and I am doing a good job at it. I am also being kennel trained, but I do get to snuggle with my foster mom at night. I already know how to sit. I’m a pretty smart boy, so I can’t wait to learn other tricks. I’m looking for an amazing family that will continue to spoil me rotten. I promise I will be a good boy and the ultimate cuddle monster. All known details about our animals are posted on their profile and updated daily. Other info would be discussed in detail with the foster during the application review process. Due to the number of introductions/questions received (hundreds daily) we ask you submit an application on our website (that application can be used for any dog with Take Paws Rescue). The adoption fee for adult dogs covers age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment by the rescue's vet. All dogs in our care are also kept up-to-date on HW/Flea Prevention. Please see our website for more information. 2024 Adoption Fee Scale for non-benefactor animals: Puppies under 12 months - $350 Dogs over 12 months - $250 *Take Paws Rescue saves dogs from high-kill shelters in Southeast Louisiana, owner surrenders, and discarded dogs with uncertain futures. All of our animals live in foster homes where they are socialized, and well cared for. An application will be required to make sure it’s the perfect match!
